Beaumont, California Real Estate

Beaumont is a comparatively small city found in Riverside County in California, at the San Gorgonio Mountain Pass. It's a young city, founded at the turn of the twentieth century, and the community has managed to keep its rural and rustic charm. A lot of the first settling families are still living in Beaumont and the great grandchildren are keeping the pioneer spirit alive. For early traders travelling from the Mohave Desert to Los Angeles, Beaumont became a much longed for resting point. Today, L.A. residents on their way to beach vacations in Palm Springs follow in the footsteps of those traders, stopping in Beaumont to enjoy some fresh air and maybe a visit to one of the many apple and cherry orchards.

In 1996, there were 13 single-family new house construction building permits issued and the average cost for those houses was $ 96,200. Just seven years later, in 2003, the number of permits had risen to 1096 and the average cost to $ 159,500. The median house value in Beaumont was $ 98,600 in the year 2000 and is predicted to rise substantially.
